These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Pixmint website and any related services (the "Service") provided by the Pixmint team ("we", "us"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Pixmint is an online tool for viewing, editing and removing metadata in photo and video files (EXIF, GPS, IPTC, XMP, QuickTime). The Service is provided "as is", free of charge unless explicitly stated otherwise, and without warranty of any kind.
2. No account required
The Service does not require registration. You are responsible for the files you upload and for the metadata values you choose to write to them.
3. Acceptable use
Your use of the Service is governed by our Acceptable Use Policy. Violation of the AUP is a material breach of these Terms.
4. File handling and retention
Uploaded files and processed outputs are deleted within 24 hours of processing. We do not store, share or train any model on your files. See our Privacy Policy.
5. Your content and ownership
You retain all rights to the files you upload. By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process those files solely to provide the requested functionality.
You represent that you have the right to upload and modify the files you submit and that doing so does not infringe any third-party rights, including copyright, trademark, privacy or publicity rights.
6. Prohibited content
You may not use the Service to upload or process content that is illegal, infringing, sexually exploitative of minors, or otherwise prohibited by the AUP. We may refuse to process and immediately delete any file we reasonably believe violates these Terms or applicable law.
7. Third-party services
The Service uses OpenStreetMap Nominatim (city-to-coordinate lookup) and Google Maps (embedded map preview). Their respective terms apply to those features.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that metadata written or removed will satisfy any platform-specific requirements.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will we be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data or goodwill, arising out of your use of the Service. Our total cumulative liability shall not exceed USD 100.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim, demand, loss or damage (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your files, or your violation of these Terms.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access at any time for violations of these Terms or the AUP. The provisions which by their nature should survive termination shall do so.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms. The "Last updated" date reflects the latest version. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the Service is operated, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
14. Contact
Questions about these Terms can be sent via the contact channel listed on the homepage.
